Robert has the practical experience and knowledge to help navigate clients through the often difficult and traumatic stage in their life. Robert is originally from the Bay Area but has lived throughout the state of California. Robert received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated with a major in government and a concentration in Latin American Studies. Because education has always been an important part of his life, Robert completed his two year service commitment with Teach For America by teaching middle school in the Los Angeles region. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA.
Robert began his legal career in civil ligation by fighting for homeowners in the middle of the foreclosure crisis. He then went own to open his own law office where he gained experience in many areas of law including criminal law, bankruptcy, immigration, family law, civil litigation and unlawful detainer. Robert has practiced in over 15 counties in the state of California. He was awarded the Wiley Manuel Award for Pro Bono Service for his work in immigration for Community Legal Services.
After a few years in private practice, Attorney Calleros decided to focus his practice on family law and has been helping families ever since. As attorney for Live Violence Free, major part of Robert’s practice has been representing survivors of domestic violence and their families. Although he enjoys the rigors of litigation, Robert is an attorney who will build bridges and find practical solutions where possible.
When not working, Robert enjoys raising his twin daughters, playing basketball at local parks, acrylic painting and attending live music events.
