Joey Campbell is a native of Sacramento, California. She attended CSU Sacramento and graduated with honors in 2013, with a BS in Criminal Justice and a BA in Italian Studies, and a minor in History. During her time at Sac State Joey studied abroad in Florence, Italy, and while there interned for the regional government of Tuscany translating official documents.
Joey graduated from McGeorge School of Law in 2017 with a JD through the part time evening program, and was awarded the Outstanding Student Service Award for her active involvement in campus organizations. Joey was on the board for Phi Alpha Delta, the legal fraternity, as well as the President of the Junior Barristers Club. Joey was also a competitor for two years on the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition team, where she was ranked 14th Best Oralist at regional competition in February 2017. During law school, Joey volunteered or interned for several non-profit human rights agencies in Sacramento, as well as overseas in Cape Town, South Africa.
Joey passed the bar on the first try was admitted to the California and Federal Bar in December 2017. She has over 5 years of experience as an executive assistant and law clerk handling estate planning and probate matters. She is also a licensed Notary Public. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, and escape rooms.
